Gas filled temperature gauges operates on the basis of expansion of mercury in the bulb which in turn deflects bourdon tube. This deflection is transmitted to the pointer through the movement mechanism .In these thermometers a linear scale is obtained which makes system preferable to customers who require perfect reading of scale over the whole range.
